The CONTROL2USB is a desktop monitor controller. A large master level knob drives a voltage controlled amplifier, so level changes are made through control voltage and not through a resistive fader. The unit selects between up to three sets of active monitors and four stereo input sources, and can add or remove a subwoofer or switch to small vintage-style monitors such as the C5A or C50A.
On the input side there are two stereo source inputs with their own level controls, a computer/DAW mix input with a level control, and a phono input with a built-in RIAA preamp for a turntable. A built-in talkback microphone can be activated from the front panel or with a footswitch, and two headphone outputs have individual level controls.
The rear panel offers three monitor outputs with separate level controls, a computer/DAW stereo output, 2-track A and B stereo outputs with level switches, a Studio Out and a Phones Out. A built-in USB audio interface connects to a computer without extra hardware or drivers.
