LM Drum

The LM DRUM combines a sampling engine running at 8/12-bit resolution with analog circuitry. It ships with 109 drum sounds modelled on 1980s drum machines, and it can record and store your own samples through its line input. The signal path includes an original-type 3320 VCF and a 2164 VCA, with a 16-voice architecture and independent level and pan for every voice.

Patterns are built with a 64-step sequencer that offers poly-meter, step-repeat, note-repeat, real-time triggering, track mute and track solo. Sixteen velocity-sensitive pads with aftertouch handle playing, and an encoder edits Tempo, Swing, Probability, Flam and Random. Analog filter cutoff movements can be recorded, edited and played back as automation. A built-in FX bus provides a Wave Designer and a dual-mode analog filter that can be assigned per voice.

For studio use there are 16 independent analog outputs for external processing or multitrack recording. For performance, the unit stores up to 8 songs and 128 patterns, which can be imported or exported during playback. Pattern Mode and Song Mode allow arranging and chaining, and the Auto Scroll feature supports changes on the fly in all modes.
