The 705 S3 is a two-way vented-box stand-mount loudspeaker from the Bowers & Wilkins 700 Series. It pairs a decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter with a 165mm Continuum cone bass/midrange driver, for stereo hi-fi listeners. Stands are not included.

The 705 S3 is a two-way, vented-box stand-mount speaker sold as a pair. A 25mm Decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter sits on top of the cabinet in a solid body housing milled from a single block of aluminum. The housing uses a longer tube-loading system and is decoupled from the cabinet to limit resonance. The Carbon Dome raises the tweeter's breakup threshold to 47kHz.
Bass and midrange come from a 165mm (6.5 in) Continuum cone driver, mounted in a pod on a gently curved baffle. The cone's composite construction is meant to avoid abrupt changes in behaviour. A Flowport vent extends the low-frequency output. Stated frequency response is 50Hz to 28kHz ±3dB, with a sensitivity of 88dB and an 8Ω nominal impedance (3.7Ω minimum).
The speaker connects to a stereo amplifier through its rear terminals and suits amplifiers rated for 30W to 120W into 8Ω. It comes in Gloss Black, Satin White and Mocha cabinet finishes, with black or grey grilles. The 705 S3 weighs 9.58kg each and needs separate speaker stands.
