The AVR-X2800H is a seven-amplifier AV receiver that can run a 7.2 layout, a 5.2.2 Atmos or DTS:X layout, or a smaller setup that uses spare channels for a second room. Audyssey MultEQ XT calibration with the supplied measuring microphone and a step-by-step setup assistant handle speaker tuning.
Video is handled by six HDMI inputs (three of them 8K) and two outputs, one with eARC. It passes through 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz, supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG and Dynamic HDR, and offers ALLM and VRR for gaming. It can also upscale 4K to 8K.
For music, HEOS provides multi-room streaming and supports AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri control. Wired connections include Ethernet, a phono (MM) input, optical and coaxial digital inputs, and analog pre-outs. It does not support DSD/SACD over HDMI.
