The QS30 is a small stereo desktop speaker with two 2-inch full-range drivers rated at 2.5 W RMS each. Each driver sits in its own acoustic cavity, and two symmetric bass reflex channels extend the low end. Silicone foot-pads tilt the baffle slightly upward, so sound is aimed toward ear level when the unit sits below a monitor.
The front baffle carries a lighting display. Seven preset light effects can be cycled with a button on the top panel, and the mobile and computer apps allow custom effects. A MEMS microphone in the baffle uses noise cancellation to keep voices clear on calls. Three sound presets for music, movies and gaming are chosen in the app, and playback is controlled with the top-mounted buttons.
The speaker connects by an attached USB cable that carries both power and audio from a computer, or wirelessly over Bluetooth 5.4 using the SBC codec. The EDIFIER ConneX mobile app and EDIFIER TempoHub computer app handle sound and light settings and give access to the manual.
