The Tone Corset is a mono analog compressor in a compact pedal. Alongside Volume and Sustain controls, it has an Attack knob that sets how fast the compressor recovers and a Blend knob that mixes the dry and compressed signals, so parallel compression can be dialled in precisely.
Sustain sets the amount of compression: turning it clockwise adds compression and sustain. Turning Attack clockwise slows the response and lets more of the initial pick attack through. Blend moves from 100% dry to 100% compressed. A Pad switch lowers the input level to avoid unwanted distortion with high-output humbuckers, bass guitar and similar sources.
The pedal uses true bypass, with a footswitch and a status LED that lights when the effect is engaged. It has a quarter-inch input jack and a quarter-inch amp output jack. Power comes from an included 9V battery, or from an optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter that is sold separately.
