The California Standard Redondo is a right-handed, steel-string dreadnought acoustic built entirely from laminated wood. It has a spruce top with sapele back and sides, finished in gloss polyurethane, with an inlaid dual-ring rosette and a pickguard. Laminate construction is used for added resilience and durability compared with solid woods.

The okoume neck has a slim C-shaped profile, a 25.5" scale length and a 1.6875" nut width. The walnut fingerboard has a 12" radius, 20 vintage-size frets, pearloid dot inlays and a dual-action truss rod. The Jazzmaster-style six-in-line headstock carries die-cast sealed tuning machines in chrome, and the bridge is a Modern Viking design with a Micarta nut.

It is an unplugged acoustic with no pickup or electronics listed, and it ships with phosphor bronze .011-.052 strings installed. No case or gig bag is included. It is offered in Natural, 3-Color Sunburst and Black, with black or ivory pickguard options depending on the colour.
