The LINEAR 9 112 XA is an active two-way bass-reflex loudspeaker in the LINEAR 9 series. It combines a 12" cone driver with a 1" compression driver on a rotatable constant-directivity horn (70° x 50°), and is intended for medium sound coverage depths. Peak output is 131 dB SPL, with a usable range of 67 Hz to 19 kHz (-6 dB) and a 1.6 kHz crossover.
A biamped Class D power stage delivers 700 W RMS. The DSP section offers a 10-band parametric EQ with variable filter characteristics, high-pass and low-pass filters, polarity, level, delay, limiter and mute, plus filter presets (Flat, Monitor, Low Cut, Remote). Settings can be controlled remotely with HK Audio DSP CONTROL for Windows and macOS. Latency is under 2.6 ms at a 96 kHz sample rate.
The cabinet is birch plywood with a PU coating and a steel grille. It can be flown using the rigging points with steel cables or chains and AP-8 attachment points, or with the TB-28N tilt bracket, and it also works on a pole or as a floor monitor at 30°. Connections include an XLR/jack combo input, XLR link and DSP outputs, Ethercon network ports with Milan, and Powercon NAC3 in and thru.
