LINEAR SUB 4000

The LINEAR SUB 4000 is a passive subwoofer built around a bandpass cabinet with one 18" cone driver and a 4" voice coil. It covers the low end from roughly 30 to 100 Hz and is intended for use with all LINEAR 5 full-range and mid/high units. It is the recommended low-frequency partner for the long-throw LINEAR 5 LTS, and it can also be combined with an existing LINEAR SUB 2000, with optional frequency separation.

The cabinet is made of birch plywood with a jet black (RAL 9005) water enamel finish and a steel front grille backed with acoustic foam. Eight HK Audio MultiGrip handles are fitted for carrying, and two M20 pole mounts allow it to carry other speakers on top. It is rated at 1200 W RMS and 2400 W program, with a maximum peak SPL of 137 dB.

Connection is through NL4 Speakon sockets, one input and one parallel output, with switchable pin assignment. The sub is driven by an external controller amplifier with an active 100 Hz crossover. Filter presets and filter sheets are offered for Lab.gruppen IPX and IPD series and for Lake controllers, with additional DSP presets for Ashly and a PLM 12K44 preset.
