The iKeyboard 3Nano combines a 25-key velocity-sensitive, semi-weighted keyboard with a single-channel DAW control surface. It has pitch bend and modulation wheels, octave and transpose up/down buttons, and a dual-function encoder (turn or press) ringed by an 11-segment LED. Several velocity curves can be selected.
Control is handled through Mackie Control and HUI protocols. Mackie Control is built in for Cubase, Nuendo, Samplitude, Reason, Logic Pro and Ableton Live, and HUI is built in for Pro Tools. Factory presets cover these DAWs plus Studio One, and every control can be remapped for any MIDI application with the bundled iMap software, which also handles firmware updates over USB.
The unit connects by USB 2.0 and is class-compliant on Windows, macOS and iOS. It also has a MIDI output jack and TRS connectors for an expression pedal and a sustain pedal, with reversible sustain polarity. The housing is metal and includes a Kensington lock port. A software bundle is included (see the specifications).
