The Ci130QR is an architectural in-ceiling loudspeaker built around a 130 mm (5.25 in.) Uni-Q driver array. The 19 mm aluminium dome tweeter sits at the acoustic centre of the bass/midrange cone, so both drivers act as a single point source. This spreads sound widely and evenly through the room and gives more freedom in where the speakers are placed. Fewer speakers may be needed to cover a space.
The Ultra Thin Bezel (UTB) design leaves only a narrow visible rim around the speaker, so it blends into the ceiling. The tweeter uses a 'tangerine' waveguide. The crossover frequency is 3.8 kHz and the nominal impedance is 8 ohms. The recommended amplifier power is 10 to 100 W.
Connection is through gold-plated spring-loaded binding posts. The speaker needs a 158 mm x 158 mm cut-out and has a mounting depth of 77.8 mm from the surface, for the product only. Further details are available through the maker's Ci software download page.
