The R-10SW is an active subwoofer from the Reference range. It uses a 10-inch copper-spun woofer that fires from the front of the cabinet, which gives more freedom in where it can be placed in a room. An all-digital amplifier supplies 300 watts of dynamic power to the driver.
Controls include a low pass crossover and a phase control, so the subwoofer can be blended with the main speakers and aligned with them in the room. The maker positions it for both music and film playback, including 5.1 surround setups.
For connection, the subwoofer has line/LFE inputs that suit most AV receivers. The cabinet is finished in a brushed black polymer veneer and measures 14 inches high, 12.5 inches wide and 15.7 inches deep. A spec sheet and a product manual are available as downloads from the maker.
