The CI 16-60 DSP V2 is a rack-mount amplifier built for distributed audio. It provides sixteen channels from a 2U chassis and uses HybridDigital amplification, which is intended to keep heat and energy use down for continuous operation. Output is rated at 60 W per channel into 8 ohms and 65 W into 4 ohms, with all channels driven. Channel pairs can be bridged to give 140 W into 8 ohms where a zone needs more headroom.
Onboard digital signal processing lets installers adjust the response to suit the speakers and room, balance output between zones and protect loudspeakers with Peak and RMS limiters. Setup is done through a web interface. Power ratings follow NAD's Full Disclosure Power approach, meaning continuous power with all channels driven into 8 ohms at rated THD.
For system integration it has line-level inputs with loop outs, plus trigger and control options for automation. It is presented as a companion to the NAD CI580v2 four-zone network music player and is suited to large multi-zone installations.
