The Z3R is a hot-shoe flash with a round head and 100Ws maximum output. Power is adjustable from 1/256 to 1/1, and it supports high-speed sync up to 1/8000s as well as front and rear curtain sync. Two dimmable LED modeling lamps with 10 brightness levels allow a light preview. Control is by buttons or the 2.8-inch colour screen, and firmware can be updated.
A 3000mAh lithium battery is rated for 500 full-power flashes, with a 1.7s recycle time and flash durations from 1/400s to 1/20000s. A cooling system allows 70 to 100 consecutive full-power flashes. The battery charges through the USB-C port in about 2.5 hours.
Wireless control uses 2.4G with 5 groups, 32 channels and 99 IDs. The unit works with NEEWER Q System flashes and the QZ-C trigger, and can act as a secondary unit with Godox X-system transmitters. The Q and X systems cannot be used at the same time. The round head fits NEEWER CRM2, M12, CRS6, CRS7, CRB1 and S2 accessories. It is sold in versions for Canon, Sony, Nikon and Fujifilm.
