XDJ-AERO

The XDJ-AERO combines DJ playback and mixing in one unit and is designed to work with rekordbox and the rekordbox app. It creates a private Wi-Fi network that up to four wireless devices can join, so tracks can be loaded from smartphones, tablets, laptops and PCs, whether they belong to the DJ or to audience members.

Performance tools include a Jog Drum mode, where a loaded sample can be triggered and scratched by drumming on the jog wheel, and a Sample Launch function with four pre-loaded samples. Auto Beat Loop buttons set 1, 2, 4 or 8 beat loops snapped to the rekordbox beat grid, and Quantize keeps cues and loops aligned to that grid. Mixes can be recorded straight to a USB storage device for later editing on a PC or Mac.

For connectivity, the unit can act as a standalone mixer when connected to players or turntables, and it can be used as a controller for DJ software over MIDI. With a rekordbox dj licence it also unlocks features such as Hot Cues, Slicer, Sound Colour FX, Beat FX, Beat Jump and Pad FX.
