PMC15

The PMC15 is a large-format active monitor that continues the BB5/BB6 line. It is a three-way design with a 15-inch bass driver, a 75mm soft-dome midrange (PMC75v3) and a 34mm soft-dome tweeter. The bass driver is a new in-house design with a double-stacked magnet assembly and a three-layer, 3-inch voice coil. The midrange sits in an n-compass dual-profile waveguide to keep dispersion wide and even through the crossover region. The cabinet uses ATL bass loading with Laminair airflow technology.

Each cabinet is driven by the Master36 rackmount DSP/amplifier system, which supplies 800W to the tweeter, 800W to the midrange and 2000W to the bass driver. Digital crossovers, excursion protection and room alignment EQ are all handled in the DSP.

The monitor accepts analogue and digital inputs (up to 192kHz). Settings are configured over a standard wired LAN connection through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface, which runs on a built-in web server in each monitor. A twin-cabinet XBD configuration and an added subwoofer are listed as options. The monitor is currently in production, with a waitlist for availability.
