The E-X20A is a lightweight 61-key keyboard with velocity-sensitive keys and 128-voice polyphony. It carries 404 tones plus 256 GM2 tones and a selection of drum sets, with piano sounds intended for learning and practice and further settings for classical, pop, rock, jazz and ethnic music. Reverb and chorus effects are built in.
The arranger section plays full-band accompaniment from the chords played with the left hand while the right hand plays the melody. It offers 289 styles, four One Touch Settings per style, intro, ending, fill and fade controls, a tempo range of 30 to 280, and a metronome. There are 140 internal songs, and up to 10 songs can be recorded. Ethnic sounds and styles from Indonesia, Vietnam and Brazil are included, and favorite combinations can be stored for recall.
The keyboard weighs 5.0 kg and has two 10 cm speakers rated at 3 W + 3 W. It runs from an AC adaptor or six AA alkaline batteries, giving about 6.5 hours of continuous use. Connections are a headphone jack, left/mono and right line outputs, a sustain pedal jack and a USB computer port.
