The KSM9HS is a handheld condenser vocal microphone for live performance. It uses a dual-diaphragm design with gold-layered, low-mass Mylar diaphragms and lets the user switch between hypercardioid and subcardioid polar patterns. The design aims for consistent response across the frequency range, more gain before feedback and reduced proximity effect.
The electronics use a Class A transformerless preamplifier circuit with premium components. Internal and external connectors are gold-plated, including the XLR output, and the housing is made of aluminum. An advanced suspension shock mount is built in to limit handling noise.
The microphone connects through its XLR output. It is also sold as wireless handheld transmitter versions for Axient, UHF-R and ULX-D systems. The package includes a zippered carrying case, a stand adapter and a thread adapter.
