The TMA-2 Yeti Out is a special edition of the TMA-2 modular headphone system, created for the 10th anniversary of the Pan-Asian collective Yeti Out. It uses the S10 Bluetooth speaker unit with a 40 mm bio-cellulose diaphragm, which is described as stiffer and lighter than standard PET diaphragms, so detail stays clear at high volume. Playback time is over 40 hours, and dual microphones are built in.
The headphones combine a slim polycarbonate headband with PU foam padding and on-ear memory foam cushions covered in REPREVE fabric, a material made from recycled fibres including plastic bottles. The cushions emphasise midrange detail and offer low isolation. Because the system is modular, parts can be replaced or upgraded over time.
Connection is by Bluetooth 5.0, with multi-function joystick controls on the ear cup. A straight 1.5 m cable with a 1/4 to 1/8 screw-on adapter allows wired use, and a protective pouch is included.
