The KXD15 combines a Class-D power amp, a 15-inch Turbosound speaker and a Klark Teknik multi-effects processor in one portable cabinet. It runs in true bi-amp mode, with a separate amplifier for each woofer and tweeter instead of a passive crossover, and delivers 600 watts in total.
Four independent stereo channels each have their own Volume and FX Send controls, and Channel 1 adds an XLR input for a dynamic microphone. The effects engine is 24-bit and offers 100 presets covering reverb, chorus, flange, delay, pitch shift and more. A 7-band graphic EQ gives 12 dB of boost or cut per band, and an FBQ feedback detection system lights the LED on the fader of the affected band so it can be pulled down.
The master section has FX Return, Master Volume and Phones controls. A stereo Aux input accepts recorded music, a headphone output allows quiet practice, and a balanced stereo XLR DI output with Ground Lift feeds a recorder or an existing PA. A Link Output connects a second KXD15 with a single mic cable for a 1200-watt stereo setup.
