The Azur 851A is a Class XD integrated amplifier delivering 120W RMS into 8 Ohms and 200W RMS into 4 Ohms. It is a purely analogue design, with no built-in digital inputs or DAC. The maker states that the signal path was revised to keep distortion low. Specified THD is below 0.001% at 1 kHz and 0.01% across 20 Hz to 20 kHz, both at 80% of rated power.
On the back are two balanced XLR inputs and eight RCA inputs, plus a preamp output and a record output. Shelving tone controls give up to +/- 10 dB of bass boost or cut at 10 Hz and +/- 7.5 dB of treble boost or cut at 20 kHz. A remote control is supplied.
The chassis measures 430 x 115 x 385 mm and weighs 15 kg. It is offered in black or silver. Power consumption is up to 800W at maximum, 70W when idle with no signal and under 0.5W in standby.
