The Innovation is a belt-drive turntable built around a torque-rich 24 V DC motor. Its Optical Speed Control (OSC) electronics use an optical sensor to hold the rotation speed steady. Speed is chosen at the push of a button, with 33⅓, 45 and 78 rpm available.
The platter is 85 mm thick in total: a 70 mm section of high-density technical plastic on top of a 15 mm stainless-steel sub-platter, both dynamically balanced. It runs on an inverted ceramic bearing shaft with a sintered-bronze bushing, combined with the patented CMB magnetic bearing. The chassis is a sandwich of laminated wood and aluminium with a resonance-optimised geometry and height-adjustable feet. It comes in black acrylic or in laminated wood with aluminium.
The base can take a second tonearm, so two arms can be fitted at once. The deck is supplied without a tonearm and without the power supply. A five-year manufacturer warranty applies when the warranty card is returned within 14 days of purchase.
