N2 MM

The N2 is a moving-magnet cartridge that uses the generator design of the N1 model. Its body is made of carbon-fibre-reinforced PETG, a newly developed material intended to give a stiff housing and control resonances. The whole system weighs 8.5 g (± 0.2 g), which keeps it compatible with a wide range of tonearms from different makers.

The stylus assembly is a plug-in unit, so the stylus can be swapped quickly, even with the cartridge mounted on the tonearm. The stylus is an elliptical diamond on an aluminium cantilever, with a compliance of 15 µ/mN and a tracking ability of 80 μm. Recommended tracking force is 2.2 g (± 0.3 g).

Electrically, the N2 delivers about 3.3 mV at 1 kHz and 5 cm/s, with a coil impedance of 0.66 kΩ. It is designed for a standard MM phono input with a 47 kΩ load and 100 pF capacitive load. Frequency response is stated as 20 Hz to 20 kHz. A manual and product safety notes are available for download.
