The M90 is a two-piece active speaker system built around 4" long-throw aluminum diaphragm mid-bass drivers and 1" silk dome tweeters. Two Class-D amplifiers deliver 100 W RMS in total (15 W treble and 35 W mid-bass per side), with a bi-amped active crossover and DRC handled in the digital domain. Processing runs at 24-bit/96 kHz from end to end, and the analog front end converts analog sources at high resolution. Both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications are listed.
Inputs cover HDMI eARC, optical, USB-C and AUX, plus Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC and SBC codecs. LDAC supports transmission of up to 990 kbps from compatible Android 8.0 or later devices, and Bluetooth multipoint can be enabled in the app. A SUB OUT port allows an external subwoofer to be added. With HDMI eARC and HDMI CEC enabled on the TV, power, mute and volume follow the TV remote.
Control is through the onboard knob, the included 2.4 GHz omni-directional remote or the EDIFIER ConneX app. The remote switches between three preset sound effects, and the app adds input selection, playback control, custom sound effects and access to the digital manual.
