The Loop Core Stereo records, overdubs and plays back loops using a single footswitch, with long-press actions for undo, redo and clear. Loops are stored in 99 user memories, selected with the VALUE knob, which also adjusts loop and drum volume. A TFT colour display shows all settings, and a headphone output allows silent practice. Total recording time is up to 6 hours in stereo.

A built-in rhythm section provides 50 drum patterns. Audio routing is set through an audio path menu, covering mono-in/mono-out, stereo-in/stereo-out, and split outputs so that guitar and drum machine can feed two separate amplifiers or a mixer. Output A includes cab simulation for sending the signal to a mixer or PA.

A MIDI input, with a MIDI-to-1/8" cable included, lets an external controller operate nearly every parameter, such as tap tempo, start, stop and record. When connected to a computer the pedal appears as a USB drive, so users can copy in backing tracks (44.1kHz/32-bit stereo float WAV, convertible with the NUX Format Converter) and load a custom GIF as the boot-up picture. Firmware updates are supplied by the maker.
