Phono Box S3 B

The Phono Box S3 B is a compact phono stage built around a fully discrete, symmetrical gain stage with no integrated circuits in the amplifier section. A semi-passive RIAA equalisation stage follows it. The steel and aluminium housing gives rigidity and shielding against outside interference.

Two turntables can be connected at once, and the settings for each input are stored in memory. Input impedance, input capacitance and gain are adjustable from the front panel, which allows matching to many MM and MC cartridges. The gain range also lets the unit serve other sources such as CD players or streaming devices.

For the balanced signal path, a turntable is connected through a 5-pin mini XLR cable. An RCA input pair is also provided. Outputs are one pair of RCA and one pair of XLR. Because of how MM cartridges are wired internally, an MC cartridge is needed to use the full balanced signal. It is available in silver or black and is made in Europe.
