The C-30 reproduces four harpsichord-family sound-sets: French-type, Flemish-type, Fortepiano and Dynamic harpsichord. Each offers 8' I (back), 8' II (front), 4' and Lute stop variations, and two positive small-pipe organ sounds are included. The keyboard has 61 keys in an F-scale layout with a harpsichord-style action mechanism, and the instrument supports up to 128 voices of polyphony.
Five temperaments are available: Equal, Werckmeister, Kirnberger, Vallotti and Meantone. Baroque pitch (415 Hz) and Versailles pitch (392 Hz) can be switched without changing the selected temperament, and master tuning covers 440/415 Hz with a ±50 cent range. Key transpose spans -6 to +5 semitones, and an 8-level reverb is controlled from the panel along with volume and tone knobs.
Built-in speakers (two 12 cm and two 8 cm, 13 W x 2) can fill a medium-size hall, while a stereo headphone jack allows silent practice. Stereo output and input jacks, MIDI In/Out, a pedal jack and an AC adaptor jack handle connection to external amplification or PA systems. The simulated mahogany cabinet comes with a stand, and a picture board and decoration panel can be fitted to the lid and side panels.
