The FP-90 is a portable 88-key digital piano that pairs a modeled piano sound engine with the PHA-50 keyboard, which has escapement and an ebony/ivory feel. Piano polyphony is unlimited for the four main piano tones, and the instrument also offers electric piano, strings, organ and pad tones, plus eight drum sets and an SFX set.
For performance there are 30 registrations that can store sounds, layers and splits, separate Upper and Lower part sliders, a three-band equalizer and a mic input with compressor, doubling and echo. The four onboard speakers (two main speakers and two dome tweeters) are driven by a bi-amp system rated at 25 W x 2 plus 5 W x 2. Performances can be recorded as MIDI or as WAV audio to USB memory.
Connectivity covers Bluetooth audio and MIDI (depending on the country of purchase), USB computer and USB memory ports, MIDI In/Out, stereo line inputs and outputs, two headphone jacks and three pedal jacks. The Piano Partner 2 app can add rhythm accompaniments. A damper pedal and music rest are supplied; the KSC-90 stand and KPD-90 pedal unit are optional.
