The JC-40 is a stereo combo amp derived from the JC-120 Jazz Chorus. Two independent power amps drive two custom 10-inch speakers, giving 40 W of clean, neutral output that suits pedal-based setups. A front-panel stereo input (L/MONO and R) lets stereo effects, modelers, multi-effects units and guitar synths be heard in true stereo through one amp.
Onboard effects are chorus/vibrato, distortion and reverb. The Dimensional Space Chorus offers selectable fixed or manual modes, and the vibrato and reverb operate in stereo. Controls cover volume, bright switch, three-band EQ, distortion, reverb, and speed and depth for the modulation effect.
The rear panel has an effects loop for mono or stereo effects with serial or parallel operation, mono or stereo line outs, a stereo headphone jack, and footswitch jacks for chorus/vibrato, reverb and distortion. Optional BOSS FS-5L, FS-6 or FS-7 footswitches can be used for on/off control.
