TL47

The TL47 is a subminiature lavalier from the TwinPlex line. Its capsule uses a patent-pending dual-diaphragm design that gives roughly twice the surface area of other subminiature mics, aimed at natural tone with solid low-frequency response and consistent pickup when the sound source moves off-axis. Sensitivity is low, so it copes with loud environments without distortion, and the sound signature is described as natural.

For durability, the interchangeable frequency caps carry an invisible superhydrophobic nanoscopic coating that keeps sweat and moisture from causing dropouts. The 1.6 mm cable is paintable, resists kinking and memory effect, and has a dual redundant ground that acts as a secondary shield.

The mic is offered in white, tan, cocoa and black, and with LEMO, MTQG/TA4F, MicroDot, XLR/preamp or bare-wire (NC) connectors to match most bodypack transmitters. It can be bought with or without accessories, and clips, mounts, caps, windscreens and a storage case are sold separately.
