DP-02
The DP-02 is an 8-track digital portastudio recorder with a built-in 40GB hard drive, CD-RW burner and multieffects, designed around knobs and faders rather than menus. It suits home recording of vocals, guitars and other instruments. It has been discontinued and replaced by the DP-03SD.

The DP-02 records up to eight tracks at 44.1 kHz / 16-bit uncompressed audio to an internal 40GB hard drive. Its layout follows the classic portastudio approach: each channel has a volume fader, pan, effect send and high and low EQ controls, with an EQ frequency button for choosing the shelf frequencies. A dedicated stereo master track is provided for mixdown, along with an internal metronome and a bar/beat display for song position.
On the processing side there is a multieffects unit with guitar, bass, vocal and drum programs, plus a separate stereo reverb with send/return controls for multichannel mixing. A chromatic tuner is built in. A CD-RW burner handles CD mastering and song backup without needing a computer.
Two XLR mic/line inputs supply phantom power for condenser microphones. Outputs include a headphone jack and stereo line outs on RCA analog and S/PDIF optical digital connectors. A USB 2.0 port moves tracks, mixes and backup files to a computer. Firmware version 1.02 is the latest update listed.
